Bryn Mar Village Apartments is looking for a Temporary Property Maintenance Technician staff member for approximately 6 months at our apartment complex in Tacoma, WA. The ideal candidate would have a working knowledge of plumbing and electrical repair, painting skills, and general property maintenance know-how. Job duties would include, but not be limited to, apartment turn-overs, maintenance requests, grounds keeping, appliance repair, and more. Job Type: Temporary Full-time (potential to become permanent position)

Pay: $23.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Complete apartment turn-overs, including preparing units for new residents

• Respond to and complete resident maintenance requests in a timely manner

• Perform basic plumbing repairs and troubleshooting

• Perform basic electrical repairs and maintenance

• Repair and maintain household appliances as needed

• Complete interior and exterior painting projects

• Maintain property grounds and common areas to ensure curb appeal

• Conduct routine property inspections and preventative maintenance

• Assist with cleaning and trash removal throughout the property

• Ensure vacant units and common areas are safe, clean, and move-in ready

• Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance inventory

• Follow all safety procedures and company policies while performing duties

Qualifications

• Previous property maintenance, apartment maintenance, or general maintenance experience preferred

• Working knowledge of basic plumbing and electrical repair

• Experience with painting, drywall repair, and general carpentry preferred

• Ability to troubleshoot and repair common household appliances

• Ability to complete apartment turn-overs efficiently and thoroughly

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Reliable, punctual, and dependable work ethic

• Good communication and customer service skills

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull maintenance equipment and supplies as needed

• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred

• Basic knowledge of workplace safety procedures and safe tool operation
